About Olayèmi
Olayèmi Dorcas Assogba identified a quiet but significant waste problem in Benin’s cashew sector: vast quantities of cashew apples were discarded every season, despite their nutritional and commercial potential. That observation became her mission. As Co-Founder and Head of Marketing and Sales at CAJU VALOR, Olayèmi drives partnerships, product promotion, and market expansion — combining innovation with a strong commitment to rural women’s empowerment.
About CAJU VALOR
CAJU VALOR transforms wasted cashew apples into healthy, eco-friendly organic juice infused with local ingredients — ginger, moringa, and sorghum sheath. The company works through partnerships with women’s cooperatives, training and supporting rural women in the collection and processing of cashew apples, creating stable income and promoting financial independence. By turning an underutilised agricultural by-product into a nutritious local beverage, CAJU VALOR contributes to food security, environmental sustainability, and women’s economic inclusion — with ambitions to become a leading African reference in the sustainable transformation of local agricultural products.
