About Idea

The Idea Program is a transformative 3-month journey designed to help entrepreneurs develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with real evidence of sales or impact. Graduates of this program are well-positioned to advance to the Build Program for further growth and scaling opportunities. The Idea Program is the first step toward turning bold visions into impactful ventures.

Participants receive seed funding, averaging $2,500 and up to $5,000 based on the specific needs of their enterprise. The program combines funding with targeted training modules, covering:

  • Purpose & Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Business Model Canvas & Planning
  • Market Fit & MVP Development
  • Sales, Marketing, & Financial Management
Meet the Idea Coach

Natalia Sikombe

Natalia was born in Tanzania and raised in Zambia. She graduated from African Leadership Academy in 2014 and decided to pursue a career as a freelance First Assistant Director in the Zambian film industry, while completing her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Public Relations at Cavendish University. She is passionate about the creative arts and most importantly wants to be a part of the ongoing development and innovation of the film industry in the continent.

Fund for Alumni Start-ups in Transition (FAST)

The FAST Program, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, supports university graduates in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey. The program equips them with the tools and resources needed to build and grow their businesses through the Idea and Build courses.
