About Branice

Growing up, Branice Kazira witnessed first-hand how communication barriers excluded Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals from education, healthcare, and everyday life. That experience became her driving purpose: to use technology as a bridge for inclusion. Branice is Co-Founder and CTO of Signvrse, an AI-powered assistive technology company transforming accessibility for Deaf communities across Africa. A software engineering student, she combines deep technical expertise with empathy-driven design, building products where the needs of users come first.

About Signvrse

Signvrse uses artificial intelligence and advanced 3D avatar technology to deliver real-time sign language interpretation, enabling seamless communication between Deaf and hearing individuals in education, healthcare, employment, and customer service environments. The problem is significant: millions of people across Africa face daily exclusion due to language and accessibility barriers. Signvrse exists to change that — making communication universally accessible and empowering Deaf individuals to thrive confidently and independently. Looking ahead, Signvrse aims to expand across Sub-Saharan Africa, serving hundreds of thousands of Deaf individuals and institutions through scalable, affordable technology. It envisions a world where no one is excluded because of how they communicate.
