Donald Bambara is a sustainability consultant with a relevant experience in the development sector. His areas of focus are Sustainable Development Education, Environmental Impact Assessments, Climate change, responsible investment and Corporate social responsibility.
As a serial social entrepreneur in 2013, Donald co-founded Green Act, a Senegalese based social business which started off as a waste management and recycling company. Today Green Act serves as a consulting and development advisory firm. In addition, he has shares in various social businesses across Africa.
His achievements and strong dedication led him to be recognized by the Anzisha Prize in 2013 in Johannesburg as one of the top 12 most outstanding young African leaders. Since then, he has been recognized as a One Young World Ambassador, a 2015 Energy World National Winner, a Burkina Faso Youth Special Envoy for Climate Change (previously attended the COP 21 in Paris) and a Fellow at the prestigious African Leaders Network.
In 2016, Donald was recently selected as an ambassador of World Merit’s competitive 360 program. Donald looks forward to submitting an action plan for climate change at the United Nations HQ in September 2016.
