About this Report
On 22 October 2019, Anzisha hosted the Anzisha Prize Forum, an annual one-day event that focuses on VYEs as agents of change in their societies. As part of the day’s activities, Anzisha held a series of workshops for different stakeholder groups, including Educators; Investors; Policy makers; Parents; VYEs; and Incubators.
This report summarizes discussions and lessons emerging from the Incubator workshop. Key takeaways from the workshop included:
- Mentorship is an effective way of overcoming structural challenges that many VYEs face.
- There are several ways that incubators might facilitate youths’ access to entrepreneurship opportunities and skills including roadshows in remote areas and government subsidies for data.
- Having investors involved in the incubation process will allow them to support youth more thoroughly.
