David is a climate innovator from Tanzania with a background in International Business and Petroleum Chemistry. He combines technical knowledge with entrepreneurial drive to develop homegrown solutions tackling Africa’s environmental challenges. As co-founder of Ojanna, David focuses on reducing household energy costs while advocating for youth-led climate action. He collaborates with Junior Achievement Africa and the African Climate Alliance, and actively writes on climate issues, driven by a vision of a greener, self-reliant Africa built on local innovation.

Its flagship product, Eco-Beans, is pre-cooked and dehydrated, cutting traditional cooking time from three hours to just thirty minutes, dramatically reducing fuel use and firewood dependence. Using solar energy and smart distribution through schools, cooperatives, and community kiosks, Ojanna makes energy-efficient cooking accessible and affordable.
