Munyaradzi is a 21-year-old entrepreneur and tech enthusiast from Zimbabwe. He is a self-taught marketer and computer programmer. He is passionate about technology and artificial intelligence and their endless capacity in solving African problems.
Transition into Entrepreneurship
He is a recipient of the Social Entrepreneurship Award from Hult International Business School, Un75 award the future we want at the University World Cup of Startups. He also worked with Zimbabwe Yellow Pages and several other brands in Zimbabwe as part of their brand-building teams.
Business Profile
Among three other founders, in 2019, Munyaradzi established Farmhut, which is an AI-powered marketplace connecting farmers to markets that pay fair prices for their produce. It enables farmers to grow their business fast throughout the year, and ensures consumers get fresh, local, and sustainably-grown food from small producers in their local area. Farmers sign in via our website, application and WhatsApp based chatbot then we connect them with buyers closer to their location. Farmhut earns revenue through a subscription service to these farmers, vendor sales of fruits and vegetables, and a chatbot advertising space for agricultural service providers. Ultimately, the business seeks to increase revenue and improve general productivity among farmers. For our 5 year journey, we project to be entering SADC in the coming 3 after gaining at least 40% of the local market.
