About CHICAD Academy
CHICAD Academy, the Creative Hub for Innovation in Civil and Architectural Design, is a hands-on training centre addressing the disconnect between academic education and industry needs in Cameroon’s construction sector. Based in Yaoundé, the academy offers in-depth training in modern CAD software and design tools, combining in-person and virtual learning with site visits, workshops, and project-based mentorship. Partnering with established firms, CHICAD equips trainees with the practical skills to access internships, remote work, and job opportunities. By centring real-world application, the academy is building a workforce ready to tackle the architectural and infrastructural challenges of the 21st century.
