About Jessica
Born in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso, Jessica Gyebre received her baccalaureate from Notre Dame de l’Esperance in 2018. In 2021, Jessica went on to start up Africa Energy and Services, a company that specializes in solar and electrical installations, good solar construction, and other services. She is on track to obtain her diploma in electrical engineering at New Dawn University, where she is completing her higher education in industrial electricity. She aspires to get a Master’s Degree in renewable energy.
Transition into Entrepreneurship
With her passion for electricity, Jessica established Africa Energy and Services as well as the Association des Ambassadrices de l’Energie, a group of women involved in energy development. They are currently training up to about 35 women in solar installation.
Business Information
Africa Energy and Services specialize in electrical installation, solar system installation, and photovoltaic lighting. They reach customers through online sales and cater to their customer’s specific needs. Multitalented, Jessica’s ability to multitask makes her a good leader for the team, from logistics to management. In the future, it is Jessica’s dream for the company to create modern drying plants and mill functionality that use solar energy. She also hopes that through her company, she can provide solar-generated electricity to 1,000 households in the next 5 years.
