Jeffrey Mulaudzi is the CEO and founder of Mulaudzi Bike Tours, a lifestyle bike tour company started  to nullify the misconceptions about his township- Alexandra. Founded at the height of the world cup in 2010, the then 18-year-old Jeffrey, sought to dispel negative stereotypes by offering different tour formats. Growing up, he explained, he was restless, so he channeled his restlessness through hockey. Hockey became a blessing as  his business idea came after giving a bicycle tour to his french hockey coach and his friends.  After getting great feedback, the money resulted in the birth of  the Mulaudzi bicycle tours.

Unlike the bus tours offered, Jeffery wanted to give the tourist a closer insight into Alexandra, giving them the opportunity to interact with Alexandra and its people. Cycling gives the tourist an opportunity to explore and interact with the locals, and not just sightsee but own their adventures.

Mulaudzi tours take tourists to various heritage sites around Alexandra like the Nelson Mandela’s house, a school, Mogudu and a Shebeen. Jeffrey  presently employs  5 employees,  has about 20 people directly benefiting from his venture and as diversified to offer bike lessons and repairs. In the past year, Mulaudzi Tours  now offer transfers and a sharing system. His venture as been featured on CNN and BBC  as an entrepreneur to be reckoned with.

Jeffrey hopes to start a bicycle revolution across South Africa. And he has started by providing bicycles to those in need, one bike at a time.  He recently delivered 15 bikes to students in Limpopo. His ultimate goal is to build a business library and obtain more bicycles so that people could travel to and fro on bicycles.
